Can I get samples before placing a full order?
Yes. We can send prototype samples or run a small trial batch so you can test fit, compression set and performance before committing to a production order.
Why sampling matters more than price
A seal only proves itself on your assembly. Dimensions on a drawing can look perfect and still fail once the part is compressed between two housings with backlash, paint, or a moving cover. Sampling is where a supplier tells you the truth about its tolerances.
What you can ask for
Samples of standard profiles are usually available. For a custom shape, we cut a die and run a short run, or produce on a nearest-matching profile so you can test the geometry while the tool is developed. Send the drawing and we will tell you which route fits your timeline.
What to check on the sample
Fit into the groove, compression set after the assembly has been stored or cycled, resistance to the fluids and temperatures in service, and whether the surface finish is clean enough for your visible parts. If any of those fail, we revise the die before tooling the full order.
Sample requests that get answered fastest
Give us the cross-section, the operating temperature range, the hardness you have in mind, the fluid it touches, and the volume. With those five items we can tell you within a working day whether a stock profile fits or the part has to be extruded.
