Frequently asked

Do you offer secondary operations on silicone sealing strips?

Yes. Cutting, mitering, corner bonding, adhesive backing, slotting and die-cutting are all done in-house, so a finished part reaches you instead of a length of extruded rubber.

Cutting to length

Extruded profiles come in continuous lengths. We cut them to your dimension, square or mitred, which is what most door, window and housing assemblies actually need.

Corner bonding and mitering

For framed assemblies we bond mitred corners so the joint closes instead of leaving a gap you would have to cover with a cover profile. The bond is done on our own lines rather than subcontracted.

Adhesive backing

Self-adhesive tape applied to the back of a profile, or a release liner to keep it clean in transit. Useful where mechanical fixing is awkward or where the part has to be replaced by an end user.

Why keeping it in-house matters

Secondary operations are the easiest place for tolerance to disappear. When cutting and bonding sit inside the same factory as extruding, a dimension that has drifted is caught before it is boxed, not after it is bolted into your product.

Need your profile made?

Send the drawing, cross-section, material grade, hardness and target quantity. We will quote against it and tell you whether a stock profile fits or the part has to be extruded.
